A Social Responsibility Call from the Women’s Wing of The Ghana Association of Hamilton:
To connect with the community of Hamilton and help strengthen it in meaningful ways.
To provide menstrual pads, tampons and other items to Hamilton residents facing homelessness and are unable to afford them.
The Toronto star run a news article
in January 2017 about women on the street and the challenges they face dealing with their menstrual cycle. For women without housing and with limited income, managing their period can be an extra burden on them. It is for this reason that the women in the Ghana Association of Hamilton took it upon themselves to support such women with the needed hygiene products to manage their period in a healthy way.
As part of its community responsibility, we are seeking out donations to support these under served women living in the Hamilton area.
The goal for our first initiative is to solicit for sanitary items (tampons, pads & under wear) and donate to the Good shepherd program. We are hoping to present our first donation the weekend preceding the 2017 Thanksgiving Day. Please remember there is no tax receipt for your donation. We however will take your contact information for accountability purposes.
You can send contributions/donations to the following people:
-Priscilla Ankamah 905 5174805
-Yvette Asselstine 905 9215 866
-Ann Marie 289 689 7537

Pads-lots of them!
New underwear- Size medium to extra-large
